The Nelson's come to AZ

We just wrapped up a week of vacation with our good friends from Washington.  Eric, Carrissa and their 16 month old Nora flew down to Tucson for the week.  We had such a great time showing them all of Tucson from yummy Mexican food to the awesome Desert Museum.

Griffin and Nora had a great time hanging out together, it was fun to have a 24 hour baby companion.  Every morning Griffin would wake up (much earlier then Nora!) and walk around the house saying "Nora!" "Nora!".
He fell in love the first night when she gave him a hug, his eyes lit up and he got the sweetest smile on his face.  It was a really precious moment to witness!  Later she got a warm stinky AZ welcome from Griff when he pooped in the tub while they were sharing a bath....little stinker!

He had a hard time sharing his toys with her and Carrisa and I got lots of practice parenting the "mine!" and random acts of hitting and pushing that went on.  It was fun having a full house and visitors that also had a 16 month old because they understood the importance of keeping nap times! Sean and I were so lucky to have met them in WA and even luckier that we can still connect with them since moving away.  We miss them already!  Last night during Griff's bath he kept saying "Nora..in!" over and over again.  He really misses her!  Hopefully we can make a trip up next summer!
