Fall Fun!

Fall is this families favorite season, especially up here!  We decided to try and do some more exploring in Washington, as most of our camping and trips have been in Oregon.  So, we packed up the car and headed for the Olympic National Park in Washington.  It is located in the western side of the state, very close to the coast.  We booked a room at this awesome old lodge on the banks of Lake Quinalt.  I got a sweet deal on it, seeing as how the rainy season is now here.  We got to see some beautiful fall colors and just enjoyed relaxing by the big fireplace.

Blurry but beautiful at night!

We took a short walk around the south side of the lake, but it started to rain, so we headed back.  It was really beautiful because of all of the old growth trees and its actually a rain forest!  We did encounter a scary monster (see below!).  Thankfully we made it out alive!

Scary!

Snuggled and sleepy

Oh hey there!
We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious!  Well, actually Sean and I took turns trying to calm a very tired and unhappy baby, so really we both enjoyed our meal alone :) The fire in the lobby was really relaxing so we spent lots of time out there.  We also had a great view from our room!

Bahaha!

After dinner, Griffin looks real happy in this one!

All and all, we had really great trip.  We stopped by a beach on the way home to get our coast fix.  It would be a great place to visit in the summer too!  Maybe with all the family?  Hint hint..wink wink :)
